There is still time to make some beautiful candle arrangements before your Holiday party or Christmas/Hanukkah feast. I’ve included some designs below which should inspire you to dig through your boxes and see what you can put together for display in your cottage. Have fun and happy decorating.
Wine Glass Display
Turn crystal wine glasses upside down on a tray and use the bottoms as a base for pillar candles. Wrap a small beaded garland around the base of each candle for extra decoration.
Illuminate your staircase with an assortment of candles in bowls and hurricane candle shades of different sizes and shapes. (But for safety’s sake, please use battery-powered candles or make sure you don’t leave lit candles unattended.)
For the Nature Lover
Drill holes into log pieces to make these rustic wood holders for hand-dipped candles. Arrange them on a shelf or mantel with frosted pinecones and greens to bring the outdoors in.
Transform everyday objects into extraordinary candleholders. On a modest pedestal cake stand, set tea lights in a medley of votive holders and small glasses of different shapes and sizes to cast a pretty glow.
Turn inexpensive glass cylinders into winter wonderlands. Place one cylinder inside a larger one, sprinkle fake snow between the two, and add a sprig of cedar. Pop a votive or pillar candle into the inner cylinder.
