{Coastal Cottage} Favorite Five Finds

We’re back for another Favorite Five Finds to start your week, but first we need to thank Mary of Boogieboard Cottage as well as Courtney of French Country Cottage for featuring our Cottage Chic China Cabinet re-do as one of their favorite picks from last week. We enjoyed a quiet weekend and spent some time designing a cover for our back deck; which we are hoping to work on in the near future. I’m excited to get working on it so I can decorate it!! I really want some charming hanging candles or lanterns to start with. I can get through any tough physical job if I know I get to decorate it all pretty when we’re done plus working with power tools is always so much fun! Oops, I’m daydreaming about decorating so I better get back to business now :O)

TWO:  Beach Cottage Swag Lamp ~ This “Beachy Keen” Driftwood swag lamp is the cat’s meow in any room.  The lamp is made with 42 pieces of driftwood that have been painted white. The driftwood pieces are wire wrapped and a shell, glass marble, or prism is attached at the bottom of each wire. Three pencil starfish complete the lamp.

THREE: Shabby Chic Seashell Mirror ~ An aqua-green mirror has a beautiful cluster of shells in the corner. The mirror features a distressed look and features a starfish, variety of seashells, coral, and sea glass. Glass pearls and crystallized rhinestones add a bit of pizzazz to this unique Beach Cottage treasure.

FOUR: Sea Urchin Pillow ~ Handmade from upcycled bedspreads and have a ten-piece outer shell and poly filling. The center of the top and bottom recede into the middle of the pillow, setting this design apart from the typical round pillow. The top and bottom also have different shaping to mimic the shape of an actual seafaring urchin.

FIVE: Whale Silhouettes ~ Made from wooden panels; which have a lot of great texture. Each whale design is hand painted and distressed. Whales can be hung outside in a sheltered spot. These Chic Cottage Whales are available in either whitewash or distressed blue/aqua.
