Long Beach Peninsula in Summer

Summer Walks Along the Shore

The superb summer days of late have found us spending many hours taking long walks along the sandy shores.  There is nowhere more beautiful than the beach during summer, is there?  Here’s a few photos from our recent journeys.

We recently saw a pair of bike riders enjoying some peace and quiet along the Pacific Ocean…

Every time we walk along a beach some ancient urge disturbs us so that we find ourselves shedding shoes and garments or scavenging among seaweed and whitened timbers like the homesick refugees of a long war.

Oh, these are beautiful. They have a such a calm, serence feeling, yet the colors make them feel a little bit moody too. I really love the first one with the bike riders. What a beautiful place…I wish I lived near the ocean.

Just beautiful my friend! It looks so calm and peaceful there and I can’t believe that there is no one on the beach. I love being the only one there or having someone to share it with. :)
