• {Cottage Gardening} The Simple Beauty of Wildflowers

Posted on July 6, 2011 by in Gardening

One of the things about living in Southwest Washington is that all of the rain, which many complain about, assist in producing good wildflower displays.

While recently driving over a mountain, which sits just North of the Columbia River, we found this sweet little field of wildflowers.  Lupines and daisies are some of our favorite flowers so getting a few photos from the side of the road was a must.

If you are a lover of Wildflowers then you may enjoy this photography site which we found >Southwest Washington Wildflowers.

I just came back from a trip to north GA…the medians on the interstate, north of Atlanta, were in full bloom with wild cosmos, Queen Anne’s lace, Indian paintbrush and Shasta daisies. It was glorious!!!

  2. Beautiful! We saw lots of wildflowers on our hike here in NC this weekend. I would love to hike in there, too! ♥
