Accessories are what it’s all about in my book! Small beach cottage accents are always a delightful addition to our humble abode and I always keep my eyes open for things which will add a special feel here and there. You’ve also GOT to love the power of blogging…you meet this blogger who introduces you to another blogger who happens to sell beautiful items which you then feature on your blog! Let me explain…
I’m an avid follower of Anne Lorys of Fiona & Twig who recently purchased some adorable tea towels from her online friend, Jennifer Rizzo (who just had her kitchen featured in Country Living Magazine!). Since I have a few French-inspired accents I thought I’d check out Jennifer’s store on Etsy. Her home accents are reasonably priced and I HAD to have a couple of her tea towels.
Of course, even after receiving them, I’m not 100% where I’ll use them. Who cares!? They look charming everywhere I’ve tried so I’ll just keep moving them around the cottage. I took a few photographs of them on the new covered deck, which I’ll be featuring in the VERY near future (I promise!).
This 100% cotton tea towel is embellished with the name of a faux bakery in the british town of Westham.
This design is 100% cotton flour sack towel and embellished with distressed text from a vintage French label.
What do you think of the jar with flowers and that French hang tag? Guess where that came from…the packaging for my towels!
The tea towels were beautifully wrapped up in this ribbon and included a thank you note from Jessica. I loved the French words so much that I whipped out one of my pickle jars (very handy for flowers etc.), filled the jar with seashells from our beach and stuck in some fake Magnolias that were picked up long ago from a Dollar Store…Tah-da! Perfect for our outdoor dining table.
Note: I’m not one that uses fake flowers often, but sometimes it’s just easier to deal with…I say, do whatever makes you happy and brings you joy!
It just goes to show that you don’t have to spend a ton of money to make a pretty arrangement or little accent piece for your beach cottage! We’ll be living the Good Life over at A Beach Cottage as well White Wednesday on Faded Charm‘s site and Feathered Nest Friday at French Country Cottage and Coastal Charm too! Won’t you join us?
