Posted on August 23, 2011 by in Beach Home Tours

This week’s Beach House Tour is a  Classic Connecticut Home located in the influential town of  Rowayton, Connecticut.  The home  offers spectacular water vistas due to its location across the street from private Pine Point Beach.   The wonderful open floor plan offers sunny gracious living space with large beachside terrace for entertaining and a boat mooring is even available.

Details: 3,700-square-foot, four-bedroom, three-bathroom home on about a quarter of an acre in a village about an hour from Manhattan. The house is directly across from a private beach and has a large beachside terrace. The master suite’s deck also overlooks the water.   A boat mooring near the house is included in the sale.  The Rowayton Yacht Club and the Norwalk Yacht Club are nearby.  Price: $3,799,000

Our favorite part of the room features large gridded windows and views of the water…

  3. Gorgeous! I love homes with the old weathered gray shingles. Just so cottagey! But this home is much bigger then a cottage!

  4. Wow – I love this house. Especially the exterior. For some reason, I love wood shingled houses…with lots of curves and domes. Thanks for sharing. So pretty.

The only problem with this house is that it’s in NY! (or anywhere where it gets COLD). I’m a FL girl. through and through…love my warm temps, and the occasional dip where I wear my boots. Leaving soon for MY Crescent Beach. Yippee!
