Autumn leaves and stormy seas…October at the beach. We thought we’d move our Beachy Chalkboard into the living room for Autumn. It fits perfectly on a tiny wall near our entry. We also relocated a cute little white chest that had been previously hidden in our guest room to the wall also. We’re going to fill the drawers with paints, brushes and craft supplies – it will be so nice to be a bit more organized (well, in theory, at least!).
Yes, the pillar candles are mismatched and each has a different scent which when combined smell sooooo lovely and wonderful! I guess one of these days we’ll get around to getting some matching ones :O)
Of course, an Autumn display for a beach cottage must have some starfish, shells or other sea life included in it! We even stuck a feather found on the beach in the back.
A part of my sailboat mural is located right inside our front door; which shows in this photo. We’ve been thinking about adding seashells to the pulls on the chest, what do you think?
Hope you’re enjoying Autumn wherever you are in the world. The weather along the Washington Coast is very “Fallish”, so we’re finally in the mood for comfy, cozy Autumn memories. You?? See how we >changed this mirror into a chalkboard

We’ve been doing some ornate frames for our booth, and making up some chalk boards. I love them, they’re so in right now, and if the chalkboards go out of style, the frames never will.
This one’s adorable with the added Sea theme. Beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, and for your kind comment, it’s greatly appreciated. xxx

Thanks so much for hosting, Sarah!
Hello there, I love that chalk frame! Shows you chalk and the sea go together wonderfully! Have a great weekend.
Thanks so much, Simone! Have a great weekend :O)
Great post. I think that adding seashells to the pulls on the chest would look great and make it totally unique.
Sally,
My husband and I recently inherited his parents home after their sudden death. :( (a bitter sweet) We are in the process of remodeling and redecorating. Taking out their “country” theme and incorporating our own likes. We want to paint one wall in the large family room an accent color and I really love the color you show here on the wall your chalk board is hanging on. What color is that? Do you recall where the paint was purchased? We are bringing in a bit of an “ocean” theme to the home….little touches here and there mixed with modern. I so enjoy your blog and everything you share here. Keep up the great work!

Dear Jennifer:
Thank you for sharing your story with us – please accept our condolences. We used Vanilla Brandy from Lowe’s as the color on the majority of our walls. It is a sandy hue with a touch of pink in it so it feels very warm, especially when sunlight hits it.
Good luck with the remodeling and decorating projects :O)
