Berkeley architect, David Wilson, had been searching for the perfect bit of land to build a modern and eco-friendly beach house. Stinson Beach is a small beach community in Northern California (which I regularly visited as a child/teenager) and is located just north of San Francisco in Marin County. Wilson and his wife, Stacia Cronin, as well as their Labrador, Teton found Stinson Beach to be the perfect location for their dream home.
Location: Stinson Beach, California
Size: 1,400 square feet
Interesting fact: The south-sloping roofline is perfectly situated for solar panels, which supply the home’s annual energy needs.
“Generous windows, mountain views and an open floor plan bring spaciousness to a modest-size, eco-friendly coastal home.”
