Love It or Hate It? Jellyfish Paperweights

Although these jellyfish died of natural causes before they were frozen in liquid nitrogen and made into paperweights, they still make me cringe a bit.  Lost at E Minor reports that the manufacturers promise they ‘will not crack or break when dropped’.

According to AmazingJellyfish.com, the jellyfish glow in the dark naturally because they contain proteins called GFP proteins. These proteins are found inside jellyfish all over the world and are used as a defense mechanism to protect the jellyfish from their predators.  The Green Protein will glow all night in any darkened room so the paperweight can be used for a nightlight, inside an aquarium or as a unique conversation piece.

Let’s hear what YOU think…Love It or Hate It?

I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with
the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see
a great blog like this one nowadays.

You’re so awesome! I do not think I’ve truly read through something
like that before. So great to find another person with a few genuine thoughts on this issue.
Really.. many thanks for starting this up. This site is one thing that is needed on the internet, someone with some originality!

And even if an individual was not promiscuous
in their addiction, behaving with an “I want what I want when I want it attitude” remains an addictive behavior.
Relationship building is the core building foundation of influencing outcomes and being listened to.
Believe me it won’t cost you a thing but definitely will
bring home a bunch of happiness. And it now seems that things
will never be the same as they were in the beginning.

They are fabulous! I love them… and, sorry, but I don’t care if they are murdered, cause if they bite you, it is very painfull…:P

I have one of these and I work with jellies. They don’t look real to me at all (which is why I bought one). I actually didn’t know about the glow in the dark until a few weeks ago when I came out one night and found it glowing softly on the shelf.

Since the jellyfish were not “murdered”, I have no problem with these. I think they are very beautiful!
