Love It or Hate It? Sea Urchin Sculptures Made from Pencils

I must admit that I really “like” this week’s Love It or Hate It? Award-winning artist, Jennifer Maestre, creates detailed sculptures of sea urchins.  Each sculpture is created with 1-inch segments of colored pencils…hundreds of them!

Jennifer explained, “My sculptures were originally inspired by the form and function of the sea urchin. The spines of the urchin, so dangerous yet beautiful, serve as an explicit warning against contact.”

Do you Love It? or Hate It?

It’s May, can you believe it? Another year is whizzing by before my eyes.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we get some decent weather so that I can do some transplanting of seedlings into pots.  I found a small greenhouse a few months ago at a cheap price and am loving it.  We have started some broccoli, lettuce, spinach,  beans, cucumbers and numerous herbs to name a few.  Everything is growing on our back deck and easy to work on for those of us with bad backs (me, me!).

I hope you have a nice weekend.

Have a great day!

Marie
