   Bright, fanciful colors remind us that we’re on vacation. It’s about whimsy, fun, and escapism and we’re for all of that. Sure, the neat and tidy grays and blues of the New England coastline up where we are have their place, but down South we want to let our hair down and live a little. Could be interesting to compare coastal architecture styles from across the country. It’s amazing how regional styles stand out.

   Our homes in Carmel CA are gorgeous coastal blue and our beach cottage in Capitola CA is turquoise with white shutters. Our
   Santa Barbara beach cottage is pale blue with white shutters.

   Our family ARK in Tiburon, California is the same color as it was 100 years ago, when it floated in the San Francisco Bay.
