Sunshine Vacation Beach House in Gulf Shores

Sunshine Beach House – what an appropriate name for this vacation beach house rental from Relax on the Beach.  You’ll smile from the time you drive up to this stilted home with a peek-a-boo view of the Gulf of Mexico.  Located on the Fort Morgan, AL. Peninsula, the beach home is comfortable, nicely decorated, and just across the lane from the beach boardwalk.  You’ll find this getaway to be perfect for your next family vacation or reunion.

The home boasts 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, full size laundry facilities as well as a large kitchen that comes complete with dishes, flatware, pots, pans, glasses and dishwasher.  We found the interior to be a perfect combination of modern combined with rustic cottage elements which provide an overall cozy ambiance.  High ceilings, neutral walls and creative white crown molding are elegant.  The chocolate brown wood stairs and tile flooring are practical for the beach lifestyle. An antique-white dining table, various chest of drawers and headboards are gloriously charming with their distressed finish.

Living room chairs were covered in a delightful pink fabric which coordinated beautifully with the dining room chair seats. The homeowners are far from shy about using bright, fun and tropical artwork throughout.  I believe their choices really took this home from basic to outstanding. It provides the home with character and a unique style.

The beds were very comfortable to sleep in and beautiful to look at too. Again, you can see a bit of fun in the bedding selected for each room.  Instead of plain comforters, each bedroom offers a different motif.  I especially loved the bird bedding shown below.

The home isn’t a model home, it is someone’s vacation home so embrace an occasional little stain or chip in furniture.  It adds to the feeling of being in a real home, this is not a hotel folks.  Even though wireless Internet is provided for your convenience I recommend playing some of the board games or puzzles provided instead.  A DVD player is also available if your family wishes to enjoy a movie.

The interior is delightful but the Gulf of Mexico outside your door makes you want to stay forever.  Enjoy a relaxing sit on the front porch or take your morning coffee down to the soft sugar sand for a stroll.
