10 Creative Coastal Headboard Ideas

 

We’re decorating the bedroom today and we’ve gathered 10 Creative Coastal Headboard Ideas to spark inspiration and creativity!  As you can see from these examples, it takes more creativity than it does cash to create a new headboard from your beach home.  

ONE – HGTV’s Rate my Space used a wood pallet, cardboard and leftover carpet padding plus a few dollars’ worth of remnant fabric. Great looks for a tropical-inspired bedroom design!

TWO – This Coastal Headboard design was created from a salvaged antique door and some eclectic fun! Dana of Circa Dee shares, “I really didn’t have a pre-meditated plan for the coastal layout.  I just rolled with the punches and came up with this…”

THREE – “Probably the simplest idea of all is to hang a huge graphic behind your bed,” according to Houzz contributor, Natalie Myers.   “Vintage school maps are a fantastic fit because they tend to run big, and it’s hard to find wall space for them elsewhere. What better wall space than the big blank area above the bed?”

FOUR – Basic materials from Home Depot and a weekend of the family working together created this Reclaimed Wood Headboard design from Silver Pennies. All materials cost a bit over $89.00…not too shabby!

 FIVE – We found this adorable painted wood plank headboard design on Decorating Ideas Made Simple.  It’s perfectly beachy, don’t you think?

  SIX – Erin of Bee Mine Photography created this simplistic  guest room headboard for LESS than $50!

SEVEN – Muralist, Anita Roll, created this adorable girls bedroom design. “The beach umbrella as a canopy for the bed gives great dimension to the room and is fairly simple to mount.”

EIGHT – A simple driftwood headboard created by Kasey Buick for her daughter.  ” I needed to be thrifty and creative because I can’t afford a headboard {there was a rattan mirror above the bed before makeover} And due to the fact that there is an abundance of free and beautiful driftwood all over the place I decided to create a driftwood headboard.”
