Nautical Gift Ideas from Mystic Knotwork

Christmas by Mystic Knotwork

If you love nautical styling and fashion then you’ll love Mystic Knotwork’s new Nautical Christmas category.  Owners, Matt & Jill, create all of their nautical products by hand from their Mystic, Connecticut location.  Matt recently shared, “We have a LOT of nautical Christmas decorations and I’d like to give you all a chance to trim the tree with coastal style. These are the ‘best’ ornaments we’ve made to date.”

If you want to surprise your friends and family, give them a handmade nautical ornament on their package, for their tree or as a stocking stuffer. Sailors and those that love the water will really appreciate them.

Simple DIY Coastal Christmas Decorations

We just love that HGTV has even gotten into the Coastal Christmas decorating craze! They recently featured, Designer Casey Noble, who showcased 10 ways to bring a cool, casual and coastal vibe to your home during the holidays.  One of the easiest Coastal Christmas Garlands we’ve seen can be whipped together with a few simple items. If I had stairs in my beach house, I’d certainly create one…maybe it would work draped on my bookcases?

We found a few other DIY Coastal Christmas ideas we like too….we hope you’re inspired this Holiday!

A beach Christmas on the Sand

Getting Antsy for a Coastal Christmas

We are having so much Holiday fun and it’s not even Thanksgiving yet.  Our “A Coastal Christmas” board is bursting with fun ideas and beautiful Christmas photos on Pinterest. If you can’t tell, I’m one of those annoying Christmas people who starts playing Christmas music in September (sometimes even August). I take the entire three day Thanksgiving weekend off for decorating and I am getting really overjoyed for the festivities of the season to commence.

Here are some of our favorite ideas plus links to our Coastal Christmas Guide and Coastal Christmas Giveaways.  Thanks for supporting our Coastal Sponsors; which are all small business owners and hand crafters.

5 Beachy Blue Coastal Kitchens

Although my kitchen color palette is a mix of neutrals with red accents; I’ve often fantasized of  creating a coastal decor kitchen with a blue color palette.  This can be achieved in a variety of ways.  Here are a few of my favorite ideas.

{Click photos for links to Houzz and more info!}
Tropical Kitchen by Naples Architects & Designers Weber Design Group, Inc.

In this coastal kitchens pale blue walls compliment the white ceiling and cabinets.  The light from the windows and the ceiling lights add to the light and airy feeling.

The wood floors and the blue island give this kitchen a funky beach vibe.

Tropical Kitchen by Mineral Wells Architects & Designers Amy Hopkins Designs

The blue and green backsplash remind me of my sea glass collection.  The complex backsplash add contrast to the rather simplistic design elements.  And aren’t the green oars a nice touch?

Tropical Kitchen by Charlotte Kitchen & Bath Designers Designer Glass Mosaics

The rich blue and and steel gray are the perfect contrast to the white cabinetry.  Hard wood floors seem to be a recurring theme, huh?

Turquoise makes a bold statement and an otherwise monochromatic coastal kitchen.  This designer infused vibrant color throughout the house.
